Today I received my new radiator from radiatorexpress.com. Everything is going wonderfully with the install, and at the same time I replaced my front motor mount and also the ECT sensor. All is wel in Jeff's garage up until he goes to start it. I (I really being he if you would still like the third person) and it cranks, but doesn't start. I go to it again, and it starts! but then immediately dies. It seems to me as if my CEL is trying to come on, but it's only a feint orange, then comes on strong but soon there after shuts off. All the electronics work fine, just won't start. I have a hunch it's something to do with my main relay, but don't have a clue as to why. Thank you ever so much for your help, I am appreciative to anyone. AAAAnd another thing...when I do get the car started, there's a strong buzzing sound from the main relay, almost like it's frying itself. Thanks again for all your help guys and gals, I appreciate it.

the check engine light comes on, very feintly, then turns on fully for two or three seconds, then shuts off...i know the main relay won't throw a cel, and i'm now confused as hell!

heh. well today it started! WOOHOO! and then after about 30 minutes of driving the main relay started to click, the tach went crazy (but the engine did not rev) and then it proceeded to putter and then stall. so let me know on this one. and on the cel, it comes on but not long enough for me to check it with a jumper. it just shuts off afterwards. so my guess is still the main relay considering it won't throw a cel, the tach went crazy, and it was clicking.

check your battery voltage. to me it sounds like a power supply problem. when my battery died (man, i've been through a lot with my car) i had to push start it. i got it running, but my speedo and tach were dead, and i had to be very careful at stoplights (on the way to Walmart after hours) my lights were also really dim.
i actually got it fixed....i...uhhh....had forgotten to reconnect a ground...heh, woops! however now my srs light is on and YES i've checked all the connectors.

i duno... maybe try pulling the battery and shorting out the SRS plug (there should be a yellow plug under the steering column. you plug it into the yellow connector right next to it for a bit and safe it. if you have a Helm manual it will tell you how.) it may reset the system, other than that, i don't know, except maybe get a racing steering wheel and pull the light out.
i forgot to connect the ground that is on the thermostat housing...funny that one ground would make the whole car not run. SRS light is still on!! grr, hope they don't blow up!

ok, found out what i have to do for the srs light...i have to erase the dtc memory, however i can't seem to locate the service connector. this is not the service check connector, but the service connector. in the picture it almost looks like its a fixed connector, but its not in the place it looks like. thanks for the help!

The ground on the thermostat housing is the ground for the PGM-FI system. If it wont ground... your FI won't operate. I had the same problem, I was getting poor performance and it turned out that the thermostat housing ground was corroded like crazy. Some WD40 and a wire brush fixed it right up.
