How did they do that. I think it looks great

Looks like it could be a chore though.

its not, i think its a film, like a light filter, and not all JDM vtec gauges aren't EL, i have a set of jdm gauges just sitting in my closet doing nothing (not EL) , and i just baught a set of EL gauges off an Si, i might be able to get you a set of JDM EL's if you want them, but keep in mind, its in KM/H

i couldn't tell you the years off hand - if i had to it might have been an expensive option for later model years of the 4th gen bb4

I dun think the JDM gauges are plug and play like US ones. And yes, Charlie, you are mistaken. . .all JDM clusters are not of the EL variety.

yeah that pic just above this post is EL gauges, prolly on a later model year. so like i said, not all jdm's are EL, so most of the ones you see on ebay are the regular normal gauges. But i also saw someone replace the bulbes in the cluster with LED's so it would light up like a EL gauge. looks pretty good if you have the time.

Dang, I like that. Is there a link on how they did that. That would match my Alpine 7977 perfect.

i think i have that same pic but the gas and temp gauges are more green in it. it almost looks like that pic is doctored up. im trying to find the original but im kinda busy right now. i do remember the tach and speedo having a more blueish tint to it but i thought it was just the way the pic was taken.

peace

Or maybe that the speedometer is in MPH, which would only be a USDM prelude...

I doubt the JDMs are blue cause the JDM climate control would be blue too.

There's a few thread about changing color of the dash lights on this site but I'm not sure there are any that are specific to the 4th with the EL guage
