uh oh.. Starting problems...

2 or 3 times today when i turn the key to start, nothing happens... clutch is all the way down and the key goes all the way forward. Nothing at all happens, not even a click. Then i turn the key back and then forward again and it works. It's happened after the car had been driven for a few miles and after sitting the whole day.

I've got no clue as to what it can be... help? lol

This seems to be a common problem after awhile on 4th Gen ludes....sometimes it embaressing to, like when it happens downtown But I do hear it somewhat turn over, just not fully

At one point it was happening everyday and eventually I had some sort of electrical short which cost $$$ to fix

The problem lies in the PGM (correct me if I'm wrong someone)

anyways..it still happens to me..but maybe once every 2 weeks or something

There was a thread on this not to long ago..

TheGreatOne is right. the PGM-main relay is what typically causes the starting problem in 4th gens.

The PGM relay is located in the dashboard on the left of the steering wheel. You can access the relay from under the dashboard.

It is said to be an easy fix to perform yourself and the new relay should cost around $50.

It's not as bad is you think. My alarm brain is located there as well and I was able to see mine. I haven't replaced mine but it is fairly easy to reach.

Would you rather be safe and replace it now or wait until you are stranded somewhere at 2:00 in the morning?
