Type S intake on H23 non-vtec

Hi guys!

I'm new here, I just introduced myself!

I plan on building my H23 non-vtec, for the moment the only thing that the car got is a AEM CAI. I was planing to buy a Type S intake, but I never heard of nobody slaming one into a H23 non-vtec?

Is there a reason for that? Will it fit? However I got all my factory intake stuff in a box! I rode a great lot of shizzel on this intake and it's pretty good on low Rpms, exactly where the H23 shine! Plus the AEM CAI suck up torque at low Rpms, so I tought it would be a good Idea?

So will it fit? Is that intake only good for Vtec engine?

Thanks!

If you spent money on a CAI already it's not worth spending the extra cash on a type s. The change in power is so small it's not worth the money.

But doesn't CAI suck at low Rpm's? Because I hard that they shine at high Rpm's..exactly where my H23 suck

i do know that cold air intakes tend to bog out at lower rpm. If you had a light weight flywheel it might help that. You could also sell your cold air and put that money towards a type s

I have had both stock and CAI, and I like the stock much better for just driving around town. I haven't tried the Type S yet, but as soon as I get a K&N filter, I'll report on how it does.

I need to finish my car...it hasn't been driven in about 2 months

Thanks Guys!

I might just sell my AEM cai, and get a Type S + K&N filter as soon as I can!

For my cat back its 100% sure that it's going to be an RsR exmag!

As for the Headers I dont know wich one to choose?

Do you think Rmf or smsp could make me a custom headers for my H23?

Someone on preludepower refered me to SSR to have some custom headers made! Is this correct?

Take out the resonator or whatever its called in the wheel well passenger side, that is where all the restriction comes from w/ stock header.

It isn't "as" good as AEM CAI but it pulls air from the same place through the same opening, in theory unless somebody dyno'd it should make similar power.

I had gone back and forth w/ my stock airbox before, its a bit louder and cooler growl with the RAM intake so I swapped to it but really didnt notice anything for performance gains..
