Type S Engine swap...

I was wondering if there is any known suppliers of the Type S
Engine?? If so could you please give links because It would be a
great way to upgrade my engine bay!!!!

Your money's probably better spent on the JDM H22, and then working towards a turbo kit, b/c that engine IS expensive.

4gen_type s has as 97 type s motor built in his car. he got it for $6k installed. area 51 in so cali...

i would go turbo and build your motor for that cash.

he payed 6k$? what is the difference in the type s? is it 4k worth of a power difference? man, that doesnt really seem feasible to me... thats too much money, almost the value of teh car.

I would stick with a high compression H23 or H22 with nos.

20 more horsepower than a regular jdm h22. 197 vs 217.

www.jdmhondaparts.com I think they said it was $4500 a couple months ago, im too lazy to look what it is now...not worth the money

I still couldn't justify paying a few grand extra for 20 more hp, whether it's all motor or not. That extra few grand could by a JRSC or a turbo kit.

it would even be cheaper to by a jdm h22 and get the type s internals and swap them in...still not worth it though...why spend the extra money to go to a stock motor? why not buy aftermarket cams, rods, pistons and all the other goodies instead of going Type S

$2900 isn't bad, depending on how much shipping is.

Is the Type S CR really 10.6:1?

yah i payed 6k and i waited for almost 8 weeks when they ship it from japan and then rebuilt it but yah its all good cos all the internal parts are brand new... they rebuild the whole engine and replace all the old gaskets, water pump belts etc...... then they hook me up with a new JDM trust header and Jun Cam gears....
