Turn Signals/Flashers question

this is not my car, i do not know this person, just using picture as an example.

How do you wire the bumper lights/signal lights to where instead of parking lights on outer sides, it lit up on the inner lights like so:

anybody know?

He has real jdm turn signals. Since the outer ones are blank and do not have a bulb he probably just cut the harness and wired the outer to the inner.

it could be done like spin_r_g said... changing the wiring

maybe using a diode - to make both light but also would change the alternating signals to a maybe always on while you have the signal on, unless you cut one of the wires
and

maybe using a relay

i looked to the helms and didnt found the wire that make it turn on when the running lights are on... but I bet it will be a conection with a red/blk but where idk... i beleive there are only two wires for each bulb

yeah two for each bulb is correct, just not sure which ones to cut and swap. I've been skeptical about cutting them even though its an easy fix..

but i'll mess around with it and try to find some wiring diagrams on the net..

thanks for the info

you will be cutting the green/(something) from the sides and wiring that with the green/(somtheng) from the center and viceversa

the black is a common ground, so no need to cut

the only thing is that the center bulbs are 35W and the sides are 5W or something like that... that idk if you could blow a fuse

-i have made almost all my bulbs in leds.. so i wont have any problem with that... but the flashers will go faster as if there where no bulb, that may be controled with a resistor but i havnt tried

Ok... last weekend i did the mod... but i did it differently... cause i have the jdm side turn signals...

In order to do this mod... you need to do the following:

You would need to get the socket and bulb from a civic that has dual fillament or from the rear bulb of an accord. I believe is the 7443 bulb in there and have it both stay on AND flash.. along with the corner marker and side marker, really just a different socket and one more wire you have to splice in.

Moreover, the plug will fit PERFECTLY since it is STANLEY, and you do not have to do any modifications... the only modification is the splicing... that is all...
