turbo possiblity....wondering about bolt pattern

I could possibly get this turbo from an old talon.....it apparently will bolt up to an f22b, and i've been told that the manifold will bolt to the h23....just wondering if this is true. it's from a 91 auto talon so it's not beat up. any thoughts? will this work?

I'm thinkin the talon is like or is a DSM. The exhaust holes match up, just need to rematch some of the bolt holes. Check the FI forum. Some ppl have been doing this as part of their "poor man's Turbo build"

Definately check out the FI forum... there have been a few people who have succesfully used this "Junkyard Turbo" setup.

the manifold is very similar to the h23. You will need to notch 1 or 2 holes to get the manifold to fit and bolt up properly. Other than that everything should work. U'll need custom piping for the fmic which u can use a starion, srt4 etc... some type of afc for fuel, and all the other lil basic stuff to get the turbo going.

Hey!

yup you sure can, you have to widen the bottom two holes in the middle(not the very middle 1 hole) and the bottom far left hole when looking at the car from the front.. with a stock DSM manifold you will have to do quite a bit of shaving on the trans housing to get the turbo to fit.. dsm injectors plug directly in with a little bit of enlarging of the injector bushing and spacer.. the biggest problem is gonna be turning the boost down, the 14b is gonna be around 9-11 psi or so, you can shorten/bend the WG actuator arm but thats gonna result in some ****ty spool..

ah better to just buy an aftermarket DSM manny like I did and go from there, use a turbo you want and an external WG
