8.5:1 ----- 10.8:1 12.0:1 13.1:1 14.3:1 15.4:1 16.6:1 17.8:1
9.0:1 ----- 11.4:1 12.7:1 13.9:1 15.1:1 16.3:1 17.6:1 18.8:1
9.5:1 ----- 12.1:1 13.4:1 14.7:1 16.0:1 17.3:1 18.5:1 19.8:1
10.0:1 ---- 12.7:1 14.1:1 15.4:1 16.8:1 18.2:1 19.5:1 20.9:1

22.9 CR = 336 PSI if anyone cares.... that is roughly 2800 lbs of force pushing on each cylinder (I couldn't remember the exact size of the cylinder)

this chart is just to show what the equivalent compression would be to that of a boosted motor, correct? the compression ratio is a set number set by the parts of the engine.

it lists the amount of compression inside the cylinder at TDC for different CRs and boost levels...


ie a 10.0:1 CR with 10 lbs of boost will result in a total compression of 16.8:1, or 247 PSI inside the cylinder at the top of the stroke...
