alright guys....talked to the cnc company today and they said that it is possible to make a modified version of the c's shifter that i have in my car currently. however, i need your guys opinions on a few things. the height of the "true" c's shifter, is the same as stock. question - would you guys rather have about 1/2 inch off the top to shorten the shifter a tad so it will sit lower or would you rather have stock height? how would you guys like adjustability? how about 3 diff mounting positions to adjust the throw just how YOU like it? the unit will most likely be powdercoated....what color should i do?
as far as pricing goes, it just depends on what options we decide on. since YOU GUYS are the ones that are goin to be using them, i want to know what you guys want as far as the options above go. pricing is not definite quite yet, but it looks like the range of 95-115 will be about right. i will be able to give an exact price within the week. the units should be available in about 2 weeks. i need to know what kind of interest we have in this shifter before i get them made. if you are interested, post up, and i will make sure to inform you first. pictures will come when the first unit is made and tested both on street and track. the unit is a full replacement shifter, not an adaptor. it will be very similar to the c's unit which was available in japan and cost over $275 to get to the US.
let me know what options you guys want so i can make the shifter how we, the enthusiasts, want it.
maybe a polished, or chrome look to it. but if that costs more that screw it. adjustability is nice too

red92si - you are added to the list
slo mo - you are added, thank you for the compliment!!
Mike95lude - you are added, thanks for the offer, but i found my stock shifter
N8_94SI - you are added, it will be at least 1/2in shorter
forthgeneration - did you want in, or were you just making a comment? either way...thanks!!
I am in for sure. I want the adjustability, maybe like1, 1.5, or 2" shorter than stock would be nice. 2" may be a bit much for everyday driving, but would look good for shows

you are added. your suggestion about height was noted. thank you!
i have seen sellers before that require a deposit or full payment before the shifter is even made or able to be shipped.....i REFUSE to do it that way. i will NOT accept any payments until i have a stack of shifters ready to be shipped out. i dont want people to pay for something that isnt even tangible yet. these shifters will be made very soon and i will start accepting payment then. the people who get on the list will be guaranteed shifters in the first batch. if i have the front all the money for them to be made out of my own pocket, that is fine with me! i have confidence that people will like the shifter....for its adjustability, look, and function!

sounds good man. just let me know when you have the money and i'll see what i can do for you!
p.s. - how did you manage to break your stock lever?????!!!!!
i guess so! that thing is pretty beefy too. speaking of beefy....my lever will be beefier than stock AND the c's. i WILL call you the hulk if you can break 5/8'' steel!!!
and if you guys can...please spread the word on this thing. id like to get as many confirmed buyers as i can before i make the first set so i can judge just how many need made.
Don't put me down jst yet. I was wonderin about how hard it is going to be to install this? Will I need replacement bushings ect...? I think this is a great idea and 1/2" shorter would be beautiful. Let me know about th einstall and I might have to sign up for this thing.

the install is EXTREMELY simple. i will setup a website with complete install instructions with pictures for everyone who orders one. you do not need anything extra to install it such as bushings or spacers. honda recommends you use a new cotter pin, which is basically a paperclip looking thing that you bend back to make look like a W to keep one of the linkages on. ill most likely just include a new cotter pin with the shifters! install should take no longer than an hour. basic tools such as philips and flat head screwdriver, 10mm and 12mm wrench and/or socket, a small hammer, and a pair of plyers wouldnt hurt.
p.s. - the cotter pin im talking about is #34 in this illustration
add me add me!!!!, the 1/2" would look tight! and adjustable would come in handy as well.
thanks for doing this man, you are awsome!!
let us know when you get your business up and running, i know i would order from ya if the service stays this good

I hope this isn't a dumb question but does installing the shifter involve removing the exhaust system? I was just wondering because removing does rusted bolts are always a pain in the....
