"true" dual exhaust on lude?

would it be "true" dual exhaust on a lude if you did this?

take the header, the downpipe right before it merges into one from two pipes, cut it. then weld on pipes back to two mufflers? (i just didn't say the cat......who needs it? law says you should have it, i believe most people have it on here, including myself) would that be dual exhaust? any better gains with that? just an idea....

Don't think it would make any great gains doing that. And I believe true dual exhaust only happens on a car with two heads like a V8 or V6. Most inline engines just have a splitter somewhere after the cat when dual exhaust is present like the SRT-4.

Custom made headers (2 seprerate pieces) 2 seperate downpipes. 2 seperate exaust pipes. 2 seperate mufflers. Nothing can be split in order to accomplish this. No 4 cyclinder will ever have a true dual exaust system becuz there is only 1 exaust exit not 2 like on a v shaped motor which has an exaust exit on each side. NO IN LINE MOTOR WILL HAVE TRUE DUAL EXAUST. I laff at ppl who buy aftermarket bumpers with the cut out for dual exaust but they only have single.

I laugh at new members who bring back threads from 6 years ago.

lol @ old thread

If you really wanted to, you could have 2 of the exhaust ports on the head feeding into a custom 2 -1 header and run a cat back from there. You'll lose power though, but yes, it can be done on a 4 cylinder

LOL what about a quad setup? one pipe for each cylinder? I would have four cutouts in my bumper. Would you "laff" at me then???
