Trip Reset Button removal. (last gauge question, I swear!)

Hello,
I got my gauge cluster out (thanks guys!) and I have it all apart. To get the face plate off I just need to get around the trip reset button. Does that come off by tugging it? I don't want this to be something like if you pull off the needle and you screwed yourself out of a gauge cluster, I just need to know if I tug at the trip reset button it will come off or am I screwed.

Thanks in advance as always,
Jim

Yep just give it a tug, try not to twist it though.

When you have the face plate off it'll be well worth checking the nut that the trip switch connects into, mine had come loose and stopped working so I had to tighten it.

Also try not to touch the black part, its almost impossible to clean greasy finger prints off.

I've already found that out about the fingerprints.

Well, I got mine apart and good, but while using rubbing alcohol some leaked through to the front and ate some of the front away.

Attention:
Looking to buy 4th gen Si non 4ws 5speed gauge cluster.
