Aight guys, i will be able to drop my tranny today...great. Now i need a tranny. Ive been offered an h23 tranny at a great price. what do you all think? Im curious though, is it possible to perhaps transfer h22 gear sets into h23 tranny's?

as far as i know, the cases are the same, that being the case, you shouldn't have a problem, just remember, the h22 has shorter gears, which is great for acceleration, but bad for highway cruizing. i just went the opposite way (desperately needed a tranny, got a non VTEC) and i might get the h22 gearset and put an h23 5th gear in...

I appreciate your reply. That actually helps me out alot. as far as i know, my gear sets are in good condition, just going to replace the syncros on third and i will pop them in.
