Transmission fluid/Filter?

Hi, I have a h22 engine. I just finished puttin in some cv shafts and leaked transmission fluid. I was told that 10w40 oil can work as tranny fluid? I was a little iffy on that.

Also, I wanted to flush my radiator since it's low, and god knows how the kid before me took care of the car. Is there a filter somewhere? My friend said there could be a filter in the transmission or in the pan? or something?

I'm leaving for work now, its about 3:40 pm. I'll be back around 9:30 PM. Thanks so much in advance.

1. Just put honda MTF into the tranny. There is also penzoil or gm syncromesh. You can also get a magnetic drain plug. There is a sponsor on this site.

2. I don't know of any filter on the radiator. I just opened up the bottom drain plug and flushed the system. Refilled and bled.
