Hello there i was just wondering why most people say that the 4th gen 5spd are garbage. I thought that they were really good. NE info???

well not really, i think its actually better, well as for the gear ratios anyway, cuz its easier to keep in vtec i hear.

but, some do grind i dunno why, but most all do that...even 5th gens.

I think there was a TSB on some fourth gens because the shift fork (I think that's what it is) was not ligned up correctly, so when you would shift into fifth at high rpms it would grind.

Other than that,fourth and fifth gen VTEC trannys are the same. The Si tranny is a little longer.
