Tranny swap question

I am finally changing over to the manual tranny....I heard somewhere that the mount for the auto and the mount for the manual are in a different spot by about an inch...Is this true?? And if so, how hard is it to move the mount, can it be moved without welding, so on and so forth. Thanks for the input!

Thank you trance....It was a rumor that I had heard and wasn't sure...That should make things really simple.

more rumors

I heard that auto and manual prelude Si's have different camshafts, and that if you dont change camshafts you ll be slower than a normal manual. Also different cam gears maybe...

What do you think moderators?

Not. They are not going to make different motors for the manual and the automatic....If for no other reason than that would be too expensive...Also, I didn't think that there would be a difference between the mounts for the same reason...they are not going to make a manual body and an auto body...It's just too damn expensive.
