Tranny rebuilt; car coming back soon.. Any suggestions?

Okay, I'm paying $2,400 to have my tranny rebuilt, and these jokers at Aamco are taking 3 weeks to do it. This really sucks. I keep hearing, 'Oh, it should be done by this day', but it never is. I SHOULD have it back this Wednesday, so they say, but who frickin knows. I know, I know, I wanted to go for a complete engine swap, but I really did not have the extra dough to pay for it.

My question is, after I get my car back, is there a break in period for the rebuild on my tranny? Like, don't drive it hard for the first 6,000 miles? Just curious. Thanks.

$2400 seems a bit ridiculous. You could just buy a used tranny for around $500 and swap the whole thing. For $2400, you could have swapped the engine like the other guys said. With that much money, you could have definitely gotten at least a h23.

whats the aamco warranty? if they didn't mention how to break in the new tranny i'd beat the piss out of 2400 dollars and see if they did a good job.

seriously you could have had jdm by now...WITH lsd tranny.

and where were we? we're HERE 24/7 365.
