tranny question...H23 vs. H22

So I did my h22a swap about 2 years ago, and I didnt buy the tranny with the motor. my h23 transmission runs fine. are there any advantages/disadvantages to having my h23 tranny on my h22? are the gear ratios the same?

gear ratios are a lil different... h22 tranny has shorter gear ratios and h23 has longer... h23 tranny will drop out of vtec but with a vtec controller should be fine... i myself was running and still running a h23 tranny as of for right now... i have a h22 tranny but havent installed it yet been too busy

I'm in the same boat - H22A with H23A1 tranny. I'm at 2 years now with no issues. I have the automatic tranny ECU so the vtec crossover is slightly lower than the manual P13. So, I never drop out of VTEC except going from 1st to 2nd----which is beating on the motor too badly anyways. So far this setup works great and the car has insane top end.
