Tranny problem on 4th gen - Honda Prelude Forum

D4 light problem

My 92 prelude has an auto tranny :-/ i have this case that when the climate is very hot, my car at times does not want to start. When this happens my d4 light blinks and keeps doing so for a while. I usually wait until the light goes away. When it does it runs fine w/ no problems. Has anyone encountered this issue with their ludes?? what to do? i have a thought that it might have something to do with my tcu (transmission control unit) if that is the right term... help???

HEH. I still got a pm from a lude enthusiast about this. My solution was a swapped "MAIN RELAY" got it new from dealer just to avoid the risk from a junkyard. Besides, they're not that expensive
