I just got an m2a4 5 speed tranny and just put it in and it will not go into gear for some odd reason. When I got the tranny, the 4 top bolts for the reverse(i think it is)shifter lever cover on the tranny were gone. So I took the cover off and I'm not sure how the cover goes back on. Is there a certain position that the reverse lever has to be in before you put that cover on(cause the lever is on the cover)? Thank you for any help?

first thing i can think of is the shift linkage. just play with the shift lever (or get someone to) and then look at the shift linkage in the engine bay. or get a helms....there's prob one floating around

Ok, I'm gona try that. That's what I was thinking. Like, maybe it's the reverse lockout, and the linkage wasn't in the right place when I put it back together. I'm gettin real frustrated at the h22 trannies.....Hopefully it is something minor. I'll try that and then get back at you later today. Thanks for the help!
