tranny goners?

well, I've had the dreaded 5th gear grind ever since I bought this damn car and just today I got locked out from going into reverse... should I even bother getting quotes for a rebuild? or should I say f&*k it and just get a JDM tranny?

Who is a good source for H22 trannys?

it'll be cheaper if you just get a JDM tranny rather than rebuilding it unless you do everything yourself. Try contacting HMotors. They have a pretty huge inventory of engines/transmissions.

i dont know, if you already have a h22 you might want to look into getting a rebuild. i think you can get it done for cheaper than a jdm tranny and i think it would last longer than getting a used tranny.

so far it looks like a JDM tranny is gonna be a lot cheaper overall. Transmission shops charge for everything around here, taking off car, opening case, rebuild, vice versa..
oh, soshinusa(soko) is a lot cheaper than hmotorsonline.. so If i decide to fix, I will get it from them.
