Tranny Dying?

Hey, i JUST bought this 92 prelude S, got a really good deal on it, it has 146k on it, runs fine, but when im going slow and floor it, it doesnt shift from 1st to 2nd. but when im going faster (30-40) and floor it it shifts fine, when i manually shift it from 1st to 2nd also, it works fine....

its an automatic transmission

Thanx
-Dan

Yea, what happens is, if i floor it, youll hear 1st gear go, it will rev up to like 5000 rpm's or so where it should shift, but goes higher. keeps overreving until i let go of the gas, then it will shift.

you have an automatic and you still shift it all the way to 1st?....i have an automatic and i just play around with 3rd and 4th drive...thats it....learned my lesson before when i also started playing with 2nd...my distributor started acting funny and it just died on me and that was the time when i started playing with 2nd...so i'll never do that again...if you want to biff up your auto tranny, just go to levelten.com and they'll give you what you need so that the auto tranny can support up to 850hp...
