Just read the guys site:

1/21/05
We have been very busy at AV Engineering lately and regret to inform that due to flange availability, the 92-01 Prelude traction bars will not be available until mid-late february. We are planning on doing a group buy at the end of february so if interested, please email AVengineering1@aol.com to place your name on the list.

Ya, no doubt!

I just got an email response that I am on the list and a GB is in the works. Price tag is a whopping 400 Bucks. Worth it if it can remove some damn wheel hop...

Traction bar

Hey all,

I just got on the GROUP BUY LIST for the Traction bar set-up.

Here's what Anthony (also on honda-tech.com) at AV Engineering (the guy fabricating it) just emailed me:

"They should be available for a group buy around the 3rd week of february if all goes as planned.
The price right now will be around the $400 range but I can knock off an additional $25-30 every 10 or so people on the list. Sofar I have about 5 people signed up."

I'm not to sure if this group buy is for the 5th and 4th gen together or seperately.
If it is together and we get a CHOKE FULL of people for both gens, than we can knock off a whole lot of money!!!

Please spread the word to everyone.

Remember this is the first time ANYONE, with the exception of one person to my knowledge that something similar was ever made for our cars.

Be one of the first and few to have this in the whole world.

Plus this strong set up should only weigh roughly 8 pounds or so for a full replacement of the HEAVY 30 pound stock front crossmember and the radius rods plus this setup incorporates a front engine mount support.

Just email Anthony: AVengineering1@aol.com to sign up for the group buy.
Also if you want his website, please go to it for more details on the company.

http://www.av-engineered.com

Here's also the thread on honda-tech.com about this product and the person/company designing it: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=902329

Lets get rolling on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well i'm waiting to see the actual finished product and comments... i don't exactly like jumping into something and not knowing how well its going to perform. last thing i want to do is drop $400+ on a piece of metal and not have it be better than my existing crossmember besides it being 25lbs lighter. Like the skunk2 manifold that everyone jumped on when it 1st came out... some people say its awesome, i say its a rushed pos since skunk=junk but that's my opinion.

Hey guys, I finally got around to registering on this site. I've been wanting to register for quite some time but never got around to it.

Here is the deal on the traction bars... The design is finished as I have a prototype that I have been using on my personal car for a month or so. I was forced to push back the release date due to improperly cut flanges. Since then, I've been absolutely BOMBARDED with engine tuning, engine builds, turbo kits, swaps, etc etc. So now that I have everything but TIME to release the traction bars.

I have had a few people ask for pictures and if I could mock up a prototype bar for them. The answer is no... I've had a few people try to rip my design off and I don't want to release a product that is not completely finished and engineered. Right now I cannot give 110% of my focus, concentration, and time on the traction bars and I refuse to release something that is not up to my standards. One other option that I have looked into is powdercoating the final product. This will give a much more professional look but will run about $20-30 extra per bar. If you guys are interested in this, let me know what types of colors you would like to see available. Again, I want to keep the cost around the $400 range but unlike other traction bars... this one has a front mount incorperated into the design and is designed to be 'bolt-on.'

I have not sifted through this thread so if there is anything that needs to be brought to my attention, please do. I'm in the middle of trying to finish this one project up by saturday. You guys can keep up to date with the release on www.av-engineered.com or send me a PM. I'm on h-t a lot so you can reach me on there as well. Again, I'm sorry for having everybody's hopes up in return to make you wait longer.
