I went off a high and steep embankment and rolled at least once. The engine should be alright by the way it looks, right? When it happened I was in 3rd gear proll like 35mph, I never took it out of gear after going off the road we just slid and tumbled down like 35 feet so I guess there could be damage to the tranny, what do you think. O and I landed upside down btw.
More than likely the engine is fine. There is enough body damage that the adjuster shouldn't have a second thought about a total. Engine and tranny should be fine. More than likely the car died on the first roll over.
Also about the engine- afterward I remember standing on top my car as it was upside down and the whole underside looked fairly untouched. The car-back looked fine.
You've never lived through car hell till your standing on top your upside down totalled lude at the bottom of some hill next to a river in the middle of nowhere looking at your car-back wondering if 'it is at least still good'.

I thought so too. My adjuster has had the car in his hands for 3 weeks and hasn't given me info on if it's totalled or not, do you think they are just stalling because they have to pay?

to fix it you would have to replace the airbag, all the body panels, both bumpers, the hood, the trunk and several windows. plus you would have to paint all of it i would guess at around 10k for all that
yeah that is totaled sorry...if i were you i would put it up for a parts sale and try to get as much out of it and then go through the insurance and see what they will do about it
