Torn seam on leather seat

Just bought my first lude about a week ago (woohoo!), and so far I'm loving it! Its in near mint condition inside and out with a couple of exceptions. Case in point:

I guess my question is this: I something like this repairable? I guess I don't even know where to start looking... any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated

Mine is doing the same thing but it's less than an inch of tear. I put a tiny dab of superglue on the threads that were not yet torn out to keep them from moving til I can get it repaired properly.

I know that aftermarket leather seat surfaces are available. but I want to remove the material from the seat, sew the seam up, and reinstall it.

Anybody know how to remove the seating surface?

I would prefer not to go with aftermarket, I really love the seats in my lude despite the seam thing.

I'll check into some taylors around town and see what I can come up with...

Jim's Auto Upholstery replaced mine because the glass company ripped it when they put the front glass in. The only problem I have found is that aftermarket replacements never fit as tightly as the factory. It shouldn't cost that much to replace that peice. I do know that it costs $350 to replace the whole leather cover

Does anybody know how to take it off. Mine just has a seam that is starting to go. I think I could sew it up myself or take it to a shop somewhere to get sewn if I could take it off
