Tire / rims question

Help me !!!

I just replace the stock tires with a new set of Tenzo R (size 18 x 7.5" , offset 42 , P.C.D. 5 x 100 / 5 x 114.3) . I thought they would turn out great with my car,
but somehow the tires used with these new rims makes em looks huge. I havent lower my car yet, but im affraid if i lower it the tires will hit the car's body. I need help, i dunno what to do, i spent about $800 just for the tires and over 600 for the rims. Im not sure if i shud get new sets of tires or smaller size rims. im planning to hook up some springs as soon as i get these problem solved. Any suggestions??? Thanks alot for listening

it looks good to me....

me personally...i would rather have a little bit bigger tires on my 17s than low profile...
the one i have now is pretty much low profile and i dont like it ...just last week i hit a pothole cover and took the passenger front and rear tires out...
i had to get them replace so ...its better....i might just switch back to 15s with rota ss and bigger tires....hehehehe

Bigger tires? im not so sure about that, coz everytime i pass a bump, the rear tires were hitting the car's body. If im gonna get new sets of tires, wont it coz more damage to them?? i dunno really, or maybe the tire shop who did the work did it wrong

Just get some adjustable coilovers so you can dial it in. My 17's looked lame until I lowered my car.

Remember that the more rubber you have, the more protection against bending your pretty rims.

I don't think they look bad at all.

I'm not sure if the shop installed 'em right man.. your car ain't even lowered and your rubbing with your 18's? 5th gens should have no problem running 18's even lowered 1.5". My buddy dropped his 5th gen with 18X7.5 and and it looks nice... Come to think of it he might have been running 215/35/18. just get some Koni yellow's and stiffen up your shocks up a bit and you'll be good to go...

The more rubber you have the more off you tach is, the taller your gearing is and the slower your car is.

Triple gold yo! One of my friends did that in High School, it was like 95/96, He had them on for like 3 months (on his 95 civic coupe) then he polished the gold right off them, he was pissed and bought some neeper syncros and just put the spokes in the garage. Once in a while some one puts them on their car for a few days, it's hella funny!
