tire clearance issues in the rear with 225/45/16's

my car is lowered 2", and has about 0.4-0.5 degrees of camber in the rear.

my question is will 225/45/16 tires fit through the fender on 7" wide rims with a 40mm offset.

I'm pretty sure it'll rub.. You're lower then me with a lower offset and the tires you want are wider then mine. I have 17x7.5 42mm offset 215/40/17s with a camber kit. I'm lowered about 1.5 if I lowered more I'll probably rub.

I used to have 17x7 +40 offset with 215/40/17 tires lowered about 2" and it rub slightly.(with camber kit)

Now i have 17x7.5 +43 offset with 215/40/17 lowered about 2.25-2.5" and i barely clear the fenders but no rubbing. (with camber kit)

I think it will be VERY close...the overall diameter of 225/45/16 is slightly higher than 215/40/17. So it might rub a little.
