Tips on finding fog light wiring?

Got my OEM fog lights the other day, and I'm starting to work through the installation. I'm having a really, really tough time finding the under-dash relay and switch plugs. I've spent like 30 minutes under the dash with a flashlight, with no luck. I CANNOT seem to locate those two connectors to save my life. I thought I found the switch wiring, but it turned out to be the wiring fot the OEM tweeters (I never knew the car was wired for them).

I located the light wiring in the bumper last weekend whilst installing my JDM headlights, blue taped to the harness just like everyone says. However, under the dash, I cannont find any blue tape, a brown 4p connector, or a white 6p connector. ARGH!!

For the switch you've really got to dig in there. I believe the connector end was bright green. See if you can put a small mirror in the tweeter cover hole and look down into the dash. If i remember correctly my connector was taped to the wiring harness.

As or the relay spot, I don't remember having any problem finding it.

Yay!! I found the switch plug . . . but still no luck on the relay. At least it's progress.

For futuer refrence, the connector for the tweeter switch IS green, not white as stated in the instructions for the 94-96 console switch.

EDIT: found the relay plug as well. Someone had removed the blue tape, making it exceedingly difficlut to locate. Again, for future refrence, if you follow the wiring BACKWARDS from the cruise computer, the relay wiring is the first junction you will come to.

^That would make it a huge PITA if the blue tape was removed...

You said the connector for hte tweeter switch it green, do you mean the fog switch? I remember one being green, but I thought it was the fog connector. I don't remember though, it was a while ago when I put my fogs in.

I was refering to the tweeter-style fog switch, as opposed to the console-style.

Be careful, there are two realy plugs under the dash. One is for the stock alarm system and the other is for the fogs. Both look similar but the wire colors are different.

^
The relay is not already there. You just have to search for the harness under the dash. Someone probably removed the colored tape on it, which makes it 100x harder to locate.

Agreed.

Like I said before, follow the harness backwards from the cruise control unit until you come to the first junction, then follow that leg of the harness.
