Tint suggestions (yes i did search for this before)

I think I have kind of a unique question about this. I live in NJ and books say that all aftermarket tint is illegal but cops dont care about the back windows but they do care about the front windows. Now, I want 5% on the back three cause I like that shady look (also so they cant see me rip my radar detector off my dash when i get pulled over Now...what do you think I should get on the front that will be dark enough to look good with the 5% but light enough that I won't get pulled over every other cop that passes by? Or is ur from Jersey and you have tint...what do u have and do u get problems from cops.

Last thing I PROMISE. Now since i might get it darker than i probably should I'm thinking about getting static tint so i can do the quick fix and not loose any money. What are your thoughts on that. FYI I have worked with both types of tint before and I am decent at applying it.

I would go with 35% in the front... any tint shop should have sample's that you can look at.

I have normally gone 50 up front and 25 in back in my cars. 5 in the back sucks so bad for night driving, escpecially in the Lude. It is hard enough to see with factory tint

I have 20% on my truck and it is way to dark at night. So I went with 35% on the lude.

I have 15 percent in the back, and 35 in the front, it is onyx black tint which is supposed to be a litte more reflective than regular black tint. When i got pulled over for speeding once the cop claimed my tints were to dark but didnt write me a ticket for them.

I'm getting 5% tint in the back three and 15% in the front two, and will probably get a 12 in. brow on the windshield.... Illegal? Yep... Do I care? Not until I get pulled over...

i know in PA you can not get pulled over for tint.
The cop has to pull you over for speeding or something illegal, then he can assess what he is going to go about your tint.

NJ doesnt screw around about giving out tint tickets, they are strict.

I figure if I do get pulled over, I'll just roll my windows down, leaving him w/ nothing to suspect... the back 3 can be as dark as you want here in MO, so I think that's a pretty good idea.

i thought that your back window had to be clear to see through for the saftey of drivers behind you.

I have 15% all the way around and sometimes i wish it was a tad bit darker. btw, i have never been pulled over for my tint.

What if the cop asks you to roll up your windows? Say they're not working? lol

Tim, maybe in Arkansas, but not here.

SlowSi, I'd just say, "but mr.officer, I can't talk to you if my windows are up." Or maybe not, but I'd make sumthin up.

Btw, check your pm NOW... I forgot about you earlier.
