Ok I just recently had my windows tinted. But the rear window and side ¼ windows don’t look that great, meaning around the edges where it has those little bumps (circles) on the glass the tint kind of does not sit flush with the window so it looks like air bubbles, do you know what I mean? The shop tells me that since the windows have that trim around them with those little bumps that they cant really flatten the tint around them. This does not sound right to me, can anyone post close up pics of their tinted windows so I can see what it looks like, also what do you guys think about tint in general, do cars look cleaner with out tint????

They are right about the bumbs, but what they didnt tell you it that they can scrape off those bumps (i think, might be wrong) Some cars have it worse (like the Integra for example) it doesn't really bother me all that much...I'm getting 5% on the rear 3 and 30% on the doors.
If you do remove your tint, have fun putting the rear defroster back on with gold paint I would have it professionally taken off, they might be able to prevent it from coming off with the tint. Back when my dad bought his Lexus (hes got a 350 Z now) they took the tint off for him and they didnt damage the defroster at all.
Yeah, I would think that's normal. I didn't worry too much about that; I am a perfectionist at heart, but I let that slide.
I got reflective tint; looking at it from far away makes it look like a mirror. I really like that effect on my car; on a black Prelude, I could see black tint looking very good on it, but on my green/blue car, the mirror-like tint looks awesome.
If you remove the tint like it says in the FAQ then your defroster should be fine. I wonder if the tint would sit better on the quarter panel windows if you scrape the dots off with a rasor before applying the tint, has anyone tried this?
I have those little air bubbles too and it really bothers me. They are uneven, so in some places it lies flat, and some places there are air bubbles. I have seen ludes with light tint that don't have this problem, so I would imagine it has to do with the type of tint, how dark it is, and the install itself.
it was done by a shop, it is pretty dark, a number "3" all around...I should have gone with a "1" I think I may just remove it, the car may acutally look cleaner....

Originally posted by slo mo I've been thinking of removing my tint but I'm too lazy to do it. I think most cars look cleaner w/o tint.
I feel the same way, esp if you have lighter colored interior. Even dark interior looks nicer, IMO, w/o tint.
