timing belt changes

Just curious how often everyone changes their timing belts. I have a hard time trusting one to go 90k. I do mine at 60k.

so far.... .100479 miles and no timing belt change. Valve tap is rather loud and who knows about the water pump

I'm hoping my H23 will just last long enough for a swap.

Seems EVERYONE is hoping their H23 lasts just long enough for the swap.

invest in an engine that won't be in my car in another 3-4 months

oil changes. And that's it.

haha, you guys are crazy

i would never go through the inconvenience of breaking down somewhere due to an easily averted problem such as an old, failed timing belt just to justify the purchase of a new engine

that's not what I'm using to justify an engine change. I'm already in the works of the swap

honda hand book recommands 90k, i say do it anytime after 75k just to be safe, you don't want timing belt breaks on you because 80% and above you'll bend the valves too, i bent 4 while my old 3rd gen's timing belt broke, spent almost $1k to get everything fixed, PITA

I guess most of you are braver than me. At the average of 12k per year, you are going over 7 years on a rubber belt. I just don't trust rubber to last that long. Plus, I drive less than 12k/year so that might be 10 years for me. Thanks for the input but I think I will stick to 60k myself. Don't want mine to wind up like fourthgeneration's.
