Timing?

hey, im kinda chuggin around 2500-3000
goin up to 2500 its ok in every gear, but I lose a little bit of power as soon as I hit 2500. Then I get lots of power after 3000. Should I be concerned? Or do I just need a tune up? It's almost like my timing is off around that range, and then it goes back to flawless after 3000. It's kinda buggin me cause I'm always in that range when I'm just cruisin, casually drivin
Any ideas?

I would think the problem would be that the car makes arough 50hp in that rpm range.

Ya but it shakes very very mildly around that range, like it's choking for air... Something only I would pick up cause I'm very picky about my car. I'll try cleaning my filter or sumthin. Maybe I'm over-reacting...

Do you have an AEM CAI? I've felt a similar vibration at low rpms..I just blamed it on the intake.

its possible it could be the timing. check out all of the usual things you would change during a tune-up first (spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, air filter, or fuel filter). could just be something simple.
