Throttle cable noise...

Hey guys,

I was wondering if the throttle cable has to be lubricated once in a while? When I'm driving to work in traffic, if I press very lightly on the gas pedal, when I let go of it to shift in the low rpm range, my throttle makes this sort of ticking sound as if you would hold out an elastic rubber band stretched out very far and you would move it. I don't know if my description of the sound makes sense to you.

Can it be that my throttle cable is too tight?

Thanks.

yes i does sound like the cable is getting court on the sleeving, try unhooking it from the throttle body spraying some WD40 down the end of the sleeving.
