for those of you with jdm climate controls

before you made the swap, did you ever have trouble starting your AC with the usdm climate ? My ac works fine, just that from time to time, the lights would just randomly go out, or the ac would not come on. The ac indicator would light up, and eveything else will too, but even with the fan on, i dont heard the compressor start, and no cold air is blowin. The way i get it to work is by pushing the harnesses around a but, and the compressor picks up right away. So i m guess my board is bad. I had all solders checked, and eveything is fine, nothin is burned, its just a loose connection somewhere, but i dont know where to look or what to do. So if any of you has had that probly b4 makin the swap, let me kno if you still have your stock funny working cc. Altho i m really looking to fix this problem, so if anyone an help, please do.

thx

A friend of mine had the same problem except that it wasn't on a Prelude...it was a 4Runner. He had the exact problem you described. I would replace the wire on the A/C switch....or atleast check it first. That is what I had to do on his car becuase the wire on the switch to the relay had a break somewhere. I just cut the wire at the harness and replaced with another wire of the same gauge and voila.

You might have a dry joint. Try resoldering the solder joints.

try connecting that blu/yel wire from old USDM evap. thermostat into blu/yel wire in the 20-pin connector. that wire goes to the A/C pressure switch.
