For those knowledgeble about The Jdm Climate Control

Is it possible to use the acura cl climate control unit with the jdm sensors? The reason i would want to do this is because it would be for a lhd car and the temp would be in fahrenheit?

I don't know if you could use the sensors, I would imagine so since they are only simple thermosisters.

As for using the CL CC, I think you are going to run into mounting issues. I highly doubt you will be able to bolt the CC unit in like you can the JDM lude one. You would also need a wiring diagram for the CL to wire up the plugs into the CC.

If you are thinking you can just swap the heater/blower unit witht he Prelude one, forget it, they are too different. You are still going to have to come up with some way to actuate the airmix lever with the motor.

So the only real advantage to using the CL's over the JDM is the Degree F vs. Degree C. I am knid of interested in seeing it but I doubt it will work without serious modification of the CC mounts.

It looks identical to the preludes one except flipped around. I don't understand what your talking about mounting issues.

Just because it looks the same doesn't make it a direct swap. You would need to get your hands on the unit and test fit or at least measure it. The way the CC is held into the center vents is by two screws through the vent assy and into the back of the CC. Unless the mounting points on the CL CC are in the same place you will have to come up with a way to secure it in place. Also, all this is assuming the CC is the same size, which it may not be.

Yeah I believe someone mentionned in the past that they were different size. The JDM sensors would work, I checked in an Acura CL service manual but the wiring is probably gonna be different, I have the wiring diagram for it at home and I remeber there was a few things different in the wiring but I'm not sure if the connectors are the same or if the pinout is the same.
