Those that done H23A1 to H22 swap ?

were you able to use the same downpipe between the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter when you did the swap?

^no, you can't use it without modification.

There was a thread on here awhile back where someone cut notches in the flange to accomodate the new bolts.

I remember my header wasn't in yet and I was researching ways to get around it since the h22 only came with the top piece.

You could just make it easy and get the h22 downpipe when you order the engine lol thats what I did. Hmotorsonline charged about 50 which isnt terrible.

Umm actually yes you can, if you read my post you just have to modify it.

It is easier to buy a downpipe / find one? probably, but it doesn't mean you're limited to those options.
