thoroughly confused...

so i'm doin the jdm h22a swap into my 92 SI. whats the deal with swapping the harnesses. the harness that came with the motor looks like it connects directly to the connectors that go to the ecu. i've compared and compared and I dont see any difference. why would i have to swap the harness from the old motor?

you don't have to swap out the harness, u use your existing harness from you car... but you do need to add three wires?? Two directly from the ecu to the vtec solenoid and one grounding the solenoid ... i'm pretty sure that's right...

thats exactly what i wanted to hear. all i've done so far is disconnect the mounting bracket for the jdm wires and swing it over to the other side. all wires seem the same so i'm pretty happy i dont have to swap connectors.
