thinking about selling my lude

i have a 92 prelude and it has a blown head gasket,
im actually considering selling my car and getting maybe an 99 eclipse GSX, cause those are my favorite cars..
its just my car has been causing me way too many problems... i've had it for six months and so far, i've had to replace some ignition thing (i installed my radio and blew a wire or something), a master brake cylinder, and now i need a head gasket.. i figured maybe get it fixed then sell... but then i want it painted. which i can get painted and all dents popped out for about $1100, and i go a BIG dent in the right quarter panel just behind the wheel and about the back bumper. but it can be taken out no problem. i figured after i get my gasket fixed, instead of saving up for a paint job get another car, preferably a manuel eclipse in better condition and sell my lude..

how much do you all think i could get for my lude in its current condition (blown head gasket, but only 119xxx miles on the car, and its an automatic)????
but im not sure yet what i want to do... so yeah.. this is just an idea.

ps. keep in mind, everything else is in really good condition... i really just want a manuel... and my brother has a 3000gt and is convincing me to buy a mitsubishi, haha

o yeah.. i want to put up some pics but i dont know how on this site...

You probably wont even get $2k for an auto with a bunch of exterior damage, everyone wants the 5 speed. You'd be better off just parting it out.

A GSX will run up quite a bill too.Any older car that has some performance will. If your going to get into the boosted game you ought to practice replacing head-gaskets.

The first simi-major project I did was a head-gasket on a d16y8.All it takes is a book a few tools and a torque wrench.

I can understand not liking an auto trans.
I think the only auto trans car I could own and be happy with would be a grand national.

Hondas aren't worth much not running.

i've had a stealth tt, a 3000gt vr4, a 98 eclipse gsx...pretty much everything with a turbo from the 90's...great fun, but nowhere near reliable and i dont think anyone would ever care to disagree...try replacing ANYTHING on a vr4/tt...hell, it take half a day to change spark plugs...also, trannies are worthless and i mean worthless with a capitol W...im not going on a rant because there is a part of me that really misses them, but i wouldnt get one expecting reliability...now my eclipse was a little better, but that was only because it was much easier to work on myself...the 95-99's are not particularly well built, tho...if you want a motor that can handle a beating better, the 6 bolt is better from the earlier years...i could go on for hours about that tho...i have alot of experience with eclipses...again, not reliable when modding, but easier to do it yourself so it doesnt seem as bad
