Yeah you should be cool. I thought I was going to hit as well... heck, with the hood off, and looking at the engine bay from the side crouched down, it looked impossible, but it fit... with room even.
And yes the H22 head is quite a bit taller than the H23 head. It has a lot more crap in it guys c'mon.

i bet they didn't make that hood for preludes if it didn't fit on h22s 'cuz then only the people with h23 will buy them... right? or am i... just being weird again... haha
Originally posted by 4thGenReady2Go does it sit higher? It doesn't make sense to me, considering the H23 has a longer stroke, hmm...
The stroke doesn't change the height of the engine, both blocks are exactly the same. The stroke on the H23 might be longer but the rods are shorter to make up for the stroke difference. Though like other have said already the H22 head is higher than the H23 one.
As for the engine sitting higher, it doesn't because both engine uses the same mounts so both are sitting at the same height it's just that the H22 head is taller.

Originally posted by ludebeginnings I have a C-west hood that has a similar dip in the hood. It clears the H22 in my 93 just fine.
I stand corrected. My hood had a slight raise on the driver side, realized it was where it was hitting the skeleton of the hood. May want to double check yours. I'm going to be able to cut the section of the skeleton out and not have any issues. Don't know if yours dips down so far back though.
it hits right at the edge of the valve cover (the highest part of the engine)
good luck either way.
