Testpipe of Highflow cat???

I have a 93 VTEC, I found a testpipe for my car on testpipe.com for 35 bucks, should I get that or a highflow cat that cost more but could be better quality. Would the test pipe fit my car cause I know the VTEC cat and the Si cat a different. Would the test pipe sound beter or worse then the hi flow cat? Thanks

A testpipe is just that, a pipe, no catalytic element. No smog legal and a $10,000 fine in CA (Yes, ten thousand)

I bought a race cat(carb legal) from that same site for $100 and I passed smog about 4 months later with no prob.

that test pipe might make your car really raspy sounding, but on the cool side, u might shoot flames :P. but like Absolut said, its not worth the fine. another bad effect is that your exhaust will stink at stoplights too . if u are happy with your exhaust sound, stick with a hi-flow cat.

later,
tim

Don't expect much of a gain at all w/ either of these, unless you're running larger piping w/ FI.

you will see a gain if you have an exhaust but on stock, not likely. dont get a test pipe unless your willing to take on the charges... test pipe doesnt offer THAT much over a good high flow cat anyways even if you have an exhaust so to me its kinda polntless. to all his own.....
