Test Results!!!

ok guys....i want you to take a look at my compression test to see if you can give me some insights on what is wrong!!!

cylinder#1......... cylinder#2........cylinder#3..........cylinder#4

210psi.................170psi .............210psi................210psi

can you tell me what's the next step to see why cylinder #2 is so low? it's not even in the 10% range.....

Please help!

Did you do a wet compression test as well? If not, it's done by squiting a few drops of oil into the bad cylinder(s) and redoing the compression test on only that cylinder. It helps to determine if the rings are the culprit. Also, after that, you should perform a cylinder leakdown test to where the low compression is coming from.

When you do a leakdown test: If you hear air coming out of the tailpipe, it's a bad exhaust valve(s), if you hear air coming out of the throttle body, it's a bad intake valve(s), if you pull off the radiator cap, and see bubbles, it's the head gasket, and so on. It'll narrow things down for you.

Good luck.

no, it drives like $hit....it bogs from 2500-3600rpm...and then it picks power back up.....what do you think of this? it only does it when it's warmed up and once in a while only....
