test pipe would be straight t hrough pipe. usually 2 1/4 incheses. I bought all of mine off Ebay. also try www.testpipes.com

Yup, straight from the downpipe to the exhaust.

IIRC, they're loud and don't pass emissions very well, but supposedly power gains.

Mine was $45 off ebay, shipped to my door, stainless steel, resonated.....etc.

No, its a resonated test pipe....I have the same style thing. Its from Landspeed, called a "Race cat" by them I believe.

But then what will you do for emissions?

For emissions I just toss my stock cat and exhaust on. I wouldnt want to screw up a stock cat and not be able to smog.

He's one of those poor souls that lives in a state in which your car has to pass an emission test. It's degrading and shows extreme prejudice towards the performance oriented community. The EPA (A.K.A.- Tree Nazi's) are the ones pushing this thing......just one of those things(LOL).

do 4th gens have an o2 sensor on the cat? i see the "race cat" on ebay but it duznt have a hole for a sensor do we need it?
