Temperature switch alternative

I just picked up a 2003 (er..I mean 1993) Prelude and I notice the temperature sending switch is broken. I mean broken as in snapped off and unable to unthread from the engine. This of course means I have no temp gauge reading in the car. (I live in Arizona- you can imagine summers here) Is there an alternative method to get a proper reading to my temp gauge? Thanks

you could start by posting in the correct thread... and knowing there's no such thing as a 2003 prelude

Oh- Thanks. I was half asleep lastnight. 1993 Prelude. I saw some other questions of the sort being answered here so it appeared to be the correct forum. Thanks for your tact yet helpful advice.
