temperature control knob will not move

i have a 95 honda prelude (type s-f22a1 auto). the knob that controls the heat a/c does not slide and stay in the heat mode. so right now i have no heat and winter is coming soon!!! I have looked underneath the dash near the tranny hump and seen the linkage for the blend doors move. possible blend door stuck? any help is greatly appreciated.

also fsm link for 4th gen ludes does not work

did you check the lever under the hood....its tight against the firewall on the left/center of the car if you were looking at it from the front...mine was seized up when i got it and with a little bit of weezleepee and some muscle i freed it up and boom....er uh if you can get someone to wiggle (try to move) the slider while your looking at it with than youd be able to identify it....

Also check under the control unit. You'll have to remove the radio for this. The cable clamp might have moved not allowing you to move the slider.

Check under the dash on the passenger side, mine was doing that it was the vinyl covering on the cable that was all broken so the cable wouldn't stay clamped so I just used some electrical tape to put on the cable until it would stay in the clamp.

the knob now moves all the way to hot now. thanks for everyones help, but now only cool air blows out. no matter how long I am driving the air is always blowing cool.I have tried bleeding the coolant system the Nissan way(raise front of vehicle about 20 degrees off ground, have heater on, and hold rpm's at 2500 until coolant in no spill funnel stops bubbling), but still blows cool air. I know about the bleed screw (above the thermostat?) but once I loosened it the coolant poured out smoothly.I am unsure of the Honda the way of bleeding coolant system, besides air trapped in the system what else could be the problem?
