Tell me something good!!!

Newbie lady owner here. Bought a 92 f22 lude last week. 133K miles, never wrecked, always adult owned. Totally stock, no mods at all. I love this ride. As a mom I was looking for something sporty, fun 2 drive, great on gas, and with a back seat for the young-un'. So tired of those mom-mobiles (yuck!). Anyway, I see lots of threads with problems and concerns. My lude seems to run like a dream...........anyone wish to give me some good reports about their's? I sure could use some positive feedback. This forum has me kinda scared.

when you have a large gathering of people who own preludes you're bound to have people with problems, ive owned 2 preludes so far, one 92 prelude and one 98 prelude, both of them have been very reliable and im yet to have any problems.

Holy crap a 92 with 133k miles that's pretty damn good that's probably why it runs so great. Mine us an 01 with 116k and that only issue I've had with it is that it burns a lot of oil but the engine sounds good and the gas milage is pretty decent

preludes all drive like dreams when they are taken care of properly. When things go wrong, you know you have this forum for support. If i knew about this forum when i bought my first prelude, it would have been another advantage to owning the car.

I think she means she's scared because of all the problems and issues she sees people having with their ludes.

Like with all mechanical or electrical parts, over time things will use up their lifespan and will need replacing. I have a 92' as well and have probably replaced every part on the car that commonly goes out on it. Besides, it's funner diagnosing and fixing things yourself, great learning experience

Just got a little nervous when I started reading about all the problems everbody talks about on this forum. I know it's an older car and all, and I know it's a Honda with low miles, so I figure it ought to last if I keep all the maintenance squared away on it. I'm not too terribly worried since I know we can do an engine swap if we have to, but I'd rather not right now since I tote my son around in it. I'll wait to do that when he has his own car and I can upgrade to the h22. Anyways, I was just wanting to hear some great stuff about the car instead of all the bad, cuz I luv my lude.

True, but some people can't afford to buy an H series motor and drop it in. So you just got to live with what Honda gives you sometimes.

Automatic or manual?

It'll definitely last if properly maintained. If you look at my signature, you'll see why I'm a Honda fan.

Oh, and if you think your car is fun to drive, you should try mine.

Definitely a manual. I won't drive anything but. They shouldn't even make them in automatic. That's for wussy's. I may be 5'5" and barely over 100 lbs. but I ain't no prissified girly girl. I was a drag racer in my early 20's and got hooked on cars, and working on them. I'm still in a huge learning curve, but it just doesn't seem to come easy to me like it does the guys. I've also just recently gotten into the foreign cars too, so that's a big change. My hubby works for the toyota manufacturing plant, and that got us started in the tuner's. But don't tell toyota I'm driving a honda.

The prelude is an exceptional car when it comes to problems. The only issues I've had are things that just go bad over time which is totally normal, for any car you buy.
