Tein Flex or SS

I want to buy a nice adjustable suspension, and I would like some opinions. I am debating between the Flex or SS, and it seems that the Flex may be a better buy. I was going to build up my H23 or even buy an H22, but I am just going to rebuild my H23, and take the extra cash for suspension. Here are the differences in a nutshell.

Flex Price $1355
Compatible with EDFC
Full length and height adjustable
Available for overhaul
16 damping zones
Upper pillar mounts Included
Spring seat lock X12

SS Price $1000/ $1300 with pillar mounts
16 Damping zones
Available for overhaul
Ride height adjustable only
Upper pillar mounts are optional
Not EDFC compatible
Seat lock X4 with washers

I say get the flex so you can get the EDFC too... that piece is so sweet. Especially for the rear adjustment.

looks like it's the flex. Adjustablility > pre-set. An adjustable suspension in the hands of someone who can use it is a deadly weapon. Besides chicks will dig the EDFC

Personally I would get the Flex kit.
Reasons:
Full length adjustability-you can adjust the suspension to the height you like without sacrificing the stroke of the suspension. This means that if you find yourself bottoming out on the control arms, you can shorten the stroke of the suspension and remedy this. This case is prevalent in slammed cars.
Upper Pillow Ball Mounts-greater feel of the road and the bling in the engine bay. lol Also, you will be able to store your stock setup with ease as they will bolt in and out.
Teflon coated-less maintenance required. Key word here is less. You still have to keep the threads clean, but can be checked upon in greater intervals.

I don't know about the Flex, but I've got the SS, and am totally happy w/ them. Sure, my car is slammed, and yeah, I OCCASIONALLY bottom out, but the ride is still AMAZING, even while slammed. I don't know if the few differences are really worth the extra cheese.

is it camber that the pillowmounts allow tuning for?
If so you dont need camber kits right?

so height adjustments is the car relative to the ground
and
length is the amount of stroke of the shock?

EDFC is the electronic gizmo that allows dampening changes from inside of car right? Does it allow anything else?

Thanks for the info. I think I will get the Flex because of the full length and height adjustments. The EDFC would be cool because it would allow me to electronically adjust the damping with the touch of a button, and it isnt too bad at $380 for the unit.

I am using my car as a daily because I dont think I can fit 3 cars into our Downtown condo.(Lude, Theresa's car, another daily). It would be nice to have a suspension set up for daily driving for work since I drive a lot, and one for cruising around the town.

The length adjustability is HUGE so that you dont lose spring pressure when lowering the car a lot.

I also find myself wishing I had a EDFC quite often.

I would love to have the stiffer setup like the Flex over my SS. The SS is Cadillac like when on a setting below 6.

I was just going by retail prices in the Tein catalog. I do plan on buying the Flex from TurboEvo because the prices are unbelievable.

I plan on using a low damping when I work, and using a higher damping for after work fun. I dont think I will slam my car; I might drop it about 1.2" or so. I am not sure, I will decide after I see the different drop heights
