tech support: clutch master cylinder and clutch slippage - Honda Prelude Forum

master cylinder broken? put my hand near where the clutch attatach to the transmission inside my car near the front and pull away with oil/dirt on my hands i've heard this **** means master cylinder leaking? could that have anything to do w/ my clutch sliuppping when going into third and 4th gear sometimes doesnt drop rpms and accelerate just revs at the same rpm (not higher) kinda messed up, but would fixing master cylinder fix slipping and revving between gears or do i gotta get new clutch and new master cylinder? ne help would be appreciated

i have the same problem and i think you have to replace the clutch and the master cyclinder...thats what my mechanic told me.

thats what mine told me also........ i love life..... just spend my repair money on CF hood jdm 1 ppeice black lites and springs..... now im F*ucked.... anyone wanna do free install in NY for me? i'll be ur best friend

im gonna try to get second opinoin though at diff mechaine mayb he'll tell my what i need to hear that fixing master cylinder will fix clutch.... just fixed slave and clutch pressure and fluid is all good dunno if leaky master cylinder is actully doing nething harmfull yet
