Tcs

Does anyone here has or knows someone who has the OEM Traction Control System installed in their 4th gen?

How does the system work? Any info or pics on this would be greatly appreciated.

I know that some JDM and EDM Preludes had that as factory standard and TCS was also available as a factory option. I am not sure.

Here is the picture of the switch. It sits in the trio switch cover, where sunroof/dimmer/cruise switches sit. In Europe and Japan the dimmer switch was in the center console, and some ludes had no sunroof, so the TCS switch was instead of one of the blanks. If you have pics of all the other components, please post them up!

I have a TCS switch as well that came with a box of parts from a clip years and years ago. From the little research I've been able to come up with the ECU has an additional 4-wire plug and cars equipped had the switch and a light in the dash along with the other warning lights to indicate if it was on/off.

The only thing I can think of operation wise is that the ECU uses signals from the VSS and the ABS sensors (maybe steering angle and others as well) and does something with that. Possible use the ABS system to apply braking to wheels that are loosing traction.

I would love to get a P13 with the additional plug and a wiring schematic for the system. My TCS switch has the harness connected so I could post the wire colors, but its in my garage and I am away for a few days.

cool! Thanks man. Nice info to know. I am just trying to gather as much info on this as possible. If you do have a chance, post some pics of the components.
