Taillight Conversion

From this:

To this:

Would this look good or not? I just took marshdogg's sig and photoshoped his taillights to the back of my lude. I was just seeing how it would look but I really don't like it all that much. I just wanted to see what everyone elses opinions on them were.

I think it looks awesome on a black car, I'm undecided about the red. If you painted the lights red instead of his black it might look better, or it might look too much like stock to be worth the time.

Yeah, I guess black taillights don't look all that great on a red car. If my car was black, I would probably do the conversion. I may just take that yellow strip off the taillights so its clear. I dunno if I really like that yellow turn signal strip.

Yep, thats what I was saying. It looks real nice on a red car. I was thinking of doing it to my Azure, but I haven't decided yet.

Just my opinion..... like the others.

I don't really like it. I do like it on a darker lude but it is a little off. I am a big fan of the cleared look

Are those the 'carbon fiber look' taillights or are they black painted altezzas? I have the carbon fiber kind, but I am gonna paint the inside of them black. My car is black so I think it will look good.

I don't like altezza's as a matter of principle... clear out the stockers.

93vtec: They're painted altezzas. There's a thread with a link to a photoalbum in the 4g faq, or click here

If you want you can use the casing and the lil bubble from the altezzas and just use the stock tail light cover over it. thats what i did so it looks like cleared tails with the lil bubble.
