the tail lights

the more and more I look at the 4th gen tail lights the more I dislike them. I was wondering what have people done for tail light conversions I have seen the ones from the skylines but nothing else. Any suggestions and also pics would be appreciated.

Like most, I agree with you about our disgusting off-triangular taillights. Anyways, I'll tell you what conversions I've seen on the streets and at shows.

Skyline, REAL Altezza, Accord, Del Sol, and Corvette.

Our taillights maybe ugly but we shouldn't have an identity crisis over them. Yanno? What you can do is clear out the signals or cherry red the lights or altezza-style them .

heh I don't hate them or need to get rid of them I just don't like the shape I think carbon fiber altezza style would work best for mine since it is black.

I have to admit that the carbon fiber altezzas do look good on black preludes. The chrome ones are just . good point.

I just fitted skyline tails on my car. its a hell of a job.. many hours of custom modification. custom trunk fabrication so it seals and does not leak water. its a big job if u want it done properly and professionaly! Its taking a LONG time and lots of custom metal work..

I actually think that the Accord tail lights resemble the 4th gen Lude's tail lights... I don't know what gen accord, but you know the years around 1996. That's the closest I've seen in resemblance.. but I agree, I love the back end of our preludes- they're unique!

Me two. Original taillights allow a car to be spotted from others. Like a car like a corvette has very distinct taillights.

yup I personally love the 4th gen lights too...there isn't anything on the market quite like it...what i think ppl should be doing is converting from R33 to 4th gen prelude lights heh...probably not gonna happen but just a thought...

I especially like the lights when the amber piece and the divider piece is taken out....

I always did like the taillights, really... a lot of professional car reviewers didn't like them at the time, though...
