Tail Light Covers

I'm wanting to replace my right tail light lens cover, but I can't figure out how to take it off :S my sister scraped the side of my car and also cracked the tail light. damn her! i was looking around on the website but couldn't find any information. thanks in advance!

You have to heat them up along the seam between the lens and the housing to loosen the adhesive sealant and separate the two pieces. You can do this with a heat-gun or carefully with an ordinary oven along with some thin putty knives (plastic to avoid gouging your lights) to work along the seam.

wha? sorry, a little confused.

i was wanting to physically remove the entire light cover from the outside of the car itself and put on a new one. is that what you were explaining?

I thought you wanted to take the light apart. If you just want to remove the whole taillight from the car you just need a deep socket and I believe the size is 8mm. Unbolt from inside the trunk on the rear of the light.
